The Nigerian Army has finally cleared the Alagamo Forest in Borno State of Boko Haram terrorists, the military says. This was disclosed via a statement released yesterday, April 7, 2015, by the acting director of Army Public Relations, Sani Usman. The statement reads:
“This morning, troops of the Nigerian Army along with support from the Nigerian Air Force, cleared the last camp of Boko Haram terrorists in Alagarno forest located between Kaga and Daboa local government areas of Borno, which link Yobe and Gombe states.”
“The key terrorists’ camps within the forest include Falluja and Timbuktu camps, which have all been cleared.” Usman also stated that mopping up operations had begun in the camps and that further details would be provided soon.
